Advisor, Narrative & Strategy

Full Time  ·  US-based remote  ·  WFH 4–5 days/week

Who we are

We create research-driven narratives that transform. Harnessing unparalleled creativity and uncompromising precision, we provide storytelling research, insights, and strategy for the most influential and ascendant companies in tech, entertainment, non-profit, and public policy. From messaging architectures to brand platforms, policy to product, our team of strategy, messaging, design, and research experts hone communications insights to craft stories that help our clients confidently tell their own. At the heart of our organization is our mission to be an indispensable strategic partner with diverse, innovative, and global capabilities.

We’re seeking a Advisor, Narrative & Strategy to join us in continuously raising the bar to do just that.

The opportunity

As an Advisor, Narrative & Strategy, you’ll be a hands-on contributor across highly visible client engagements. You will help design research, analyze findings, and translate insights into clear, compelling narratives and deliverables. You’ll learn by doing alongside experienced strategists, researchers, and designers — building strong fundamentals in qualitative and quantitative methods, message development, and executive-ready storytelling.

You are deeply curious about people and how ideas move them. You’re energized by research methods, language, and structure. You’re eager to use AI tools to accelerate your work responsibly — drafting, summarizing, analyzing, and iterating — while developing sound judgment about when human review is essential.

What you'll do

  • Support the design and execution of qualitative, quantitative, and mixed-method research that informs messaging, brand, policy, and product strategy.
  • Contribute to interview guides, discussion flows, and survey instruments; support programming and QA with senior guidance.
  • Analyze research inputs to identify patterns, drivers, tensions, and opportunities; draft toplines, insights, and implications.
  • Help craft messaging architectures, narratives, and frameworks that translate data into persuasive stories and recommendations.
  • Build client-ready deliverables: briefs, memos, decks, and visuals; iterate quickly based on feedback and changing priorities.
  • Join internal and client working sessions; capture decisions, track next steps, and keep workstreams organized and on time.
  • Apply AI tools to accelerate note-taking, synthesis, outline generation, language exploration, and quality checks — with human-in-the-loop controls.
  • Contribute to libraries of templates, examples, and best practices to raise team velocity and consistency.

What you'll need

  • B.A. or M.A. preferred in a field emphasizing communication, social science, policy, business, or data-informed storytelling.
  • 1–3 years of relevant experience (internships, research assistantships, agency/journalism/consulting roles, graduate projects). Exceptional new grads considered.
  • Demonstrated curiosity about people, culture, and how narratives shape decisions; eagerness to learn research methods and strategy craft.
  • Strong writing fundamentals with an eye for structure, clarity, and audience; comfort drafting and revising rapidly.
  • Analytical mindset with emerging skills in organizing findings, drawing connections, and prioritizing what matters.
  • Collaborative, reliable, and organized — able to manage multiple tasks in fast-moving, deadline-driven environments.
  • Working familiarity with Google Workspace and project tools (e.g., Notion, Asana) and interest in learning data analysis or visualization basics.
  • Thoughtful use of AI tools to augment work while maintaining accuracy, tone, and confidentiality.
  • Ability to work outside of traditional business hours to support global clients and projects when necessary.

Location
